It appears that star running back Rachaad White has played his final game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tampa’s 2025 season ended on Sunday, when the Atlanta Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints 19-17. The Carolina Panthers won the NFC South over the Buccaneers and Falcons by virtue of a three-way tiebreaker, with all three teams finishing with an 8-9 record.

On his Instagram story, Rachaad White strongly indicated that Saturday’s 16-14 win over Carolina was his last in a Tampa uniform:

White had a career year for the Bucs in 2023, rushing for 990 yards and six touchdowns. White logged 1,539 yards from scrimmage that year, but lost his RB1 job to Bucky Irving in 2024.

Even though Irving missed seven games to injury this season, White was unable to regain that star-like form. His 2025 campaign ends with 572 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns and 790 yards from scrimmage.

The pending free agent should have little issue finding the chance to be a No. 1 running back elsewhere. In 67 regular-season games with Tampa, he had 2,656 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Tampa’s streak of five straight playoff appearances also ended with Carolina taking the division crown.
