Fans were forced to turn away from their beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a must-win game on Saturday.

The Bucs secured a 16-14 victory to win the NFC South, leaving the Carolina Panthers dependent on other results. They had some help from the refs, given that one of the most absurd calls in league history took place.

Bucs fans will definitely be going home happy, but some of them missed out on the second half.

It was quite a rainy affair at the Raymond James Stadium. And a large section reportedly left during halftime due to the torrential downpour.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, which cites a fan and pub owner named Martin Thomas.

“It’s crazy. The entire season is on the line, they’re winning in a tight game and hundreds of people are leaving at half-time because it’s raining and there’s no shelter!” Thomas told the publication.

He also provided footage, and photos of fans leaving can be seen here.

“The fans appeared drenched from head-to-toe as they waddled out of the stadium and into the parking lot in their Bucs-themed rain ponchos,” the Mail adds.

The Raymond James Stadium is one of 20 open venues in the NFL, so fans have no protection from the rain. Of course, most supporters won’t mind the drenching, considering the result.
