What do you got for us?
If you have ever lived in Kansas City (or even just visited), you’re well aware of Boulevard Brewery, which was founded in 1989. The creation of Boulevard marked a return to local brewing after the city had been dominated by more national breweries for a very long time.
Slowly but surely, more and more breweries began popping up. The trend gained momentum in the 2010s. By 2018, the state of Missouri had more than doubled its number of craft breweries since 2011.
As of 2022, the Kansas City area boasts more than 30 breweries. One of its hidden gems is called “Brewer’s Alley” — a bar-and-restaurant hub in the Crossroads area that includes breweries such as Double Shift and Casual Animal.
Enough of the history lesson. Other than Boulevard, what is your favorite local Kansas City brewery? Please explain in the comments what makes it so great.
