C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s comments about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are causing both he and his family to receive backlash. Not only is Gardner-Johnson himself being ridiculed for the comments, but Swifties have been review-bombing his mother’s restaurant on social media.
After Gardner-Johnson’s Philadelphia Eagles beat the breaks off of the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the Birds cornerback took to social media to take a shot at Travis Kelce and by extension Taylor Swift.
On his Instagram story, Gardner-Johnson shared a photo of he and Kelce facing off in the game and captioned the picture “Should have stayed with that thick s—,” suggesting Kelce shouldn’t have left his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole for Swift.
Swifties obviously got wind of Gardner-Johnson’s comments and have responded by review-bombing Gardner-Johnson’s mother’s restaurant, King’s Grill in Rockledge, Florida.

As of Tuesday, February 11, however, Google seemed to detect the suspicious activity on King’s Grill’s review page, as the restaurant still as 3.9 stars, with all of the negative reviews from Swifties now deleted.
In addition to their attack’s on King’s Grill’s Google review page, there’s was also speculation that the New Heights podcast social media page took down a post congratulating the Eagles due to her fanbase’s reaction.

Jason Kelce clarified, however, that he instructed their social media guy to take down the graphic because he [Jason] was in it too much.
“I had Jake take that graphic down because that post had too many pictures of me. I wanted the post to be reflective of the guys who just won, not me. I didn’t win shit in this one, it felt weird to congratulate this team with a bunch of pictures of me,” Kelce tweeted.
While the behavior of Swifties in obviously inexcusable, it should hopefully serve as a lesson to Gardner-Johnson that he should never comment on another man’s relationship or partner, regardless of whether or not they’ve one of the most famous women in the world.
