It’s not often you get another crack at a team in a Super Bowl
There are two teams in the NFL that have earned a second chance at taking down the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers fell short last season despite holding a halftime lead.
As we know, it takes four quarters to beat Patrick Mahomes. Unless you’re the team with the ball last, you’ll never feel safe. Of course, a team could try to build a lead where the last possession doesn’t matter, but that’s far easier said than done.
The Philadelphia Eagles will look to do what the Niners could not and beat Kansas City their second time around. They are equipped, as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert, and Devonta Smith make for a dangerous cast of weapons. Unlike San Francisco, the Eagles have the offensive line to control the game.
If Philadelphia doesn’t turn the ball over, they should fare well. But in these big games, the ball always seems to bounce the Chiefs way. I don’t think that happens tonight as the Chiefs fall short of a three-peat.
