The criticism of HC Mike Tomlin has never been louder—so loud that it made its way into a Super Bowl LIX commercial. Many have criticized the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ decision to bring back Tomlin for the upcoming 2025 season, and Romanow Law Group used their Super Bowl commercial as a platform to take a not-so-subtle jab at the decision.
The commercial begins with two men debating what type of law Romanow Law should practice, and the gentleman on the right took the Tomlin criticism to another level:
“I don’t know. Is there an area of law that focuses on firing underperforming football coaches?”
It didn’t stop there, as he quickly utilized Tomlin’s infamous “standard” motto to conclude the Romanow advertisement:
“At Romanow Law Group, car accidents and personal injury cases—that’s the standard.”
It is unlikely anyone from the Pittsburgh Steelers organization will respond to the shots fired at Tomlin, but the Steel City may have a new favorite Super Bowl commercial—all thanks to Romanow Law Group.
