Former Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Bryan Braman died Thursday.

He was seeking treatment this year for a rare, aggressive form of cancer, according to his agent.

Braman, who was known for his special teams play and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2017, had been undergoing treatment this year in Seattle, Washington.

According to a GoFundMe campaign created to support him, Braman was fighting a life-threatening cancer that required an intensive 12-week treatment program. The organizer described the cancer as “a VERY rare form” that aggressively attacked his vital organs.

He was only 38.

The last update on his donation page was mid June that stated Bryan braman was home “with his family after undergoing a Car-t cell reprogramming treatment program in Seattle.”

It went on to state that “the Car-t treatment had the highest chance of success as the cells are reprogrammed to fight this cancer that is within Bryan.

Unfortunately, the doctors had been concerned for Bryan Braman “because of his treatment, his chemo options are very limited. They have tried all of the various treatment options, and unfortunately, none of them are working against this cancer.”

It turns out that their concerns were correct as it would eventually claim his life.

Braman has two daughters, ages 8 and 11.
