The Miami Dolphins are having one of their worst seasons in recent years, stumbling their way out of the gate in Week 1 and continuing to fall throughout the first third of the season. Can they turn things around with a visit to the Cleveland Browns? Is there any way for a 1-5 team to somehow become competitive in a year when there does not appear to be any truly dominant teams?
Today’s game in Cleveland should be an interesting one as both teams battle huge winds and rain, likely turning the game into a running contest. Will Miami’s defense be able to withstand an onslaught of rushing attempts? Will Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel stick to the run, or will he have quarterback Tua Tagovailoa trying to pass despite wind gusts that could be in the 40 to 50 miles per hour range?
The Browns continue to move forward under rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, giving this game the rare left-handed quarterback versus left-handed quarterback matchup. It also starts two quarterbacks born in Hawaii for the first time in NFL history; Mililani’s Gabriel faced Ewa Beach’s Tagovailoa once in high school as he started as a freshman before Tagovailoa graduated and moved on to play at Alabama. Now, they face off again in the NFL.
