Cardi B is reportedly being sued.
The female rapper, who’s been in a relationship with star NFL receiver Stefon Diggs, could be in legal hot water, given recent developments.
According to a report from TMZ, Cardi is the subject of a lawsuit in which she’s being accused of throwing a microphone at a woman while performing at a concert in Las Vegas back in 2023.
The Grammy Award-winning artist is being sued for assault and battery, with the woman claiming Cardi B tossed the mic at her after she threw water at her. She says Cardi was the one who asked the crowd to throw water to cool her down, but then got upset once she heeded the instruction.
“This Jane Doe is suing the rapper for a 2023 incident where Cardi was performing at Drai’s Beachclub when she asked people in the crowd to throw water at her to beat the triple-digit heat,” TMZ notes.
The report adds, “However, this individual says when she threw water at Cardi — as several people in the audience did — the rapper responded by pelting her with the mic instead.”

Police reviewed the matter at the time but chose not to press charges.
The lawsuit comes ahead of Cardi B’s upcoming album release. The album, ‘Am I The Drama?’, is only her second and is widely anticipated.
The rapper recently revealed that it will drop on September 19 and is a reflection of the past seven years, which have been filled with “love, life, and loss.”
Cardi has yet to respond to the suit.
