The New England Patriots enjoyed a strong performance in their 33-27 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. For wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the good vibes from the win carried over into the week when he recently received some big news.
The past few months have been quite busy for Diggs. On the field, he’s been working on assimilating himself into the Patriots’ offense after he signed a three-year, $69 million contract with them in free agency over the offseason.
Off the field, Diggs has embarked on a high-profile relationship with popular hip-hop musician Cardi B. After rumors that the pair were dating popped up in October 2024, they officially went public with their relationship in June 2025.
Earlier this week, Cardi B announced that she and Diggs were expecting a child together. Unsurprisingly, Diggs was asked about his girlfriend’s announcement, and he provided a hilarious response to reporters.
“Oh, my personal life?” Diggs slyly replied. “I told you about that. We won’t talk too much about my personal life, but I heard about it.”
Diggs has had a bit of a slow start on the field for New England, catching 10 passes for 89 yards in their first two games. That’s to be expected, though, as he’s adapting to a new offensive scheme, while also working his way back up to full speed after spending much of the past year recovering from a torn ACL.
The more time Diggs spends on the field, the more comfortable he will get with Drake Maye under center. And in order for the Patriots to pick up a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, they may need a big outing from Diggs and the rest of the team’s passing attack.
