Back in February, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, reality TV star Mulan Hernandez (real name: Mia Jones), and another woman, and Brianna “Brii” Mack, alleging extortion and assault. Now, Hernandez is firing back.
According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, Mulan Hernandez filed a countersuit against Stefon Diggs in which she denied the allegations he made against her and instead claims that he assaulted her and then tried to keep her silent with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Hernandez says Diggs punched her in the back of the head with a closed fist on June 7, 2024 and that she was diagnosed with a concussion that same day. She also claims that “almost immediately” after the alleged assault that he “mounted an effort to induce [her] into signing a non-disclosure agreement so that Diggs’ malicious and egregious act would be kept from the NFL and from public view.”
She is seeking at least $250,000, but no more than $1 million, in damages for physical pain and mental suffering and her medical bills.
In Stefon Diggs’ six-count lawsuit that was filed in February against Hernandez, he claims he was victimized as part of “a tale of abuse to extort millions of dollars” and was seeking damages for “defendant misconduct and the destruction of his property.” Diggs said in the lawsuit that he was punched in the chest by Hernandez and “threatened with a deadly weapon.”
He also claimed in the suit that she destroyed his personal property, “refused to leave” his apartment, and that he had been victimized as part of “a tale of abuse to extort millions of dollars.” If he didn’t pay her, he claimed, “she was going to go public and ruin his career.” Diggs said Hernandez’s alleged extortion attempts and trespassing on his property had cause him “severe emotional distress.”
Diggs was first linked to Mulan Hernandez way back in 2021. It was then that he posted a picture on Instagram that showed him having dinner with three other women. One of the women in the picture was Mulan Hernandez, who was dating NBA star Bol Bol of the Denver Nuggets at the time.
Hernandez took offense to Diggs implying that they had recently hooked up, but it was reported at the time that Hernandez and Diggs had dated six months before she got involved with Bol Bol. Diggs and Hernandez would later get back together and, as they say, the rest is (legal) history.
