Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers may be in for a disappointing free agency period—especially for those in support of Justin Fields staying in the Steel City.
Steelers writer Mark Kaboly painted a rather grim picture for the Black and Gold future of Fields, arguing that the former Chicago Bears QB could earn more money elsewhere than with the Steel City in 2025.
Kaboly, making an appearance on the February 23rd episode of KDKA-TV’s #1 Cochran Sports Showdown with Jason Mackey and Andrew Fillipponi, made it clear that he believes Russell Wilson will be the quarterback returning in 2025, not Fields:
“I think Justin is going to find more money, more opportunity, a better place somewhere else.”
A large and growing part of the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase wishes Wilson would leave the Steel City in the upcoming free agency period. However, if Kaboly is right, ‘Mr. Unlimited’ may be brought back instead of the younger and more athletic Fields.
