The Pittsburgh Steelers have some stiff competition for their free agent wide receiver target.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis for a second free-agent visit, hinting a signing could be imminent. However, the Steelers arenβt the only team potentially interested in signing Davis.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Buffalo Bills are also expected to host Davis on a free-agent visit this week following his meeting with Pittsburgh.

The Steelers could prevent that from happening if they donβt let him leave without a contract, but his health remains a big question.
Davis first visited the Steelers back in June and has taken several visits with other NFL teams. He was unable to pass a physical coming off an injury-riddled 2024 campaign, though.
The 26-year-old was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars with a failed physical designation in May after spending most of the 2024 season dealing with a knee injury that eventually caused him to have surgery and miss the final seven games of the season.
If Davis is finally healthy, it would be a no-brainer for Pittsburgh to sign him, but he may also want to weigh his options.
Davis began his NFL career as a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Bills. Over his four seasons in Buffalo, he pulled in 163 passes for 2,700 yards and 27 touchdowns as a key downfield threat for quarterback Josh Allen.
A reunion with the Bills may make the most sense for Davis, given his past success with the team. However, the wide receiver-needy Steelers could have something to say about that on Tuesday.
