CHICAGO — The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense might have something to keep an eye on Sunday. No. 1 receiver DK Metcalf exited the team’s matchup with the Chicago Bears and entered the blue medical tent on the sideline to be checked for an ankle injury. He’s questionable to return to the game.

Metcalf missed a sizable portion of a march that ended with a failed fourth-down try. He exited the tent without his helmet and attempted to run, performing lateral movements and get-offs, before being given his helmet back.

Metcalf had scored the Steelers’ first touchdown of the game, powering in from six yards out in the first frame.

The outing marked Metcalf’s second return to the stadium in which his father, Terrence played from 2002-08. The elder Metcalf was a Bears’ third-round draft pick in 2002 and played on the offensive line, mainly at guard.

“I can’t wait until they say it (on the public address system),” the elder Metcalf said about watching his son score at his old digs.. “I’ll be there. … I enjoy him catching a pass and getting upfield. I just enjoy being at Soldier Field and watching him play.”

If Metcalf doesn’t return, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek will have to step up.
