The Pittsburgh Steelers worked out linebackers Abraham Beauplan and Wesley Steiner on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. In addition, the Steelers also hosted linebacker Chase Campbell for a visit.
Steelers linebacker Devin Harper did not practice on Monday, so that could be why the Steelers brought in three linebackers. It’s unclear if Harper is dealing with an injury.
Beauplan, who went undrafted out of Marshall in 2023, worked out for the Steelers last August but was not signed.
Beauplan spent most of the 2023 season on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad, and most of 2024 on the Detroit Lions’ practice squad.
He was elevated to the 53-man roster and played in three games for Detroit last year. He didn’t record a tackle but played 46 total special teams snaps.
In 2021, Beauplan led Marshall with 110 tackles. He finished the regular season as the C-USA’s third-leading tackler and was named first team all-conference. He was named to the Bednarik Award preseason watchlist in 2022.

The Raiders signed Steiner on May 12 after he attended Las Vegas’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. His tenure with the Raiders did not last long, however, as he was released on May 21.
Steiner played his first four years at Auburn before transferring to Washington State in 2024. Last season, he appeared in all 13 games, mostly on special team. He finished the year tied for second on the team with five special teams tackles. On defense, he made 11 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. During his four years at Auburn, Steiner recorded 87 tackles and three tackles for loss.
Campbell was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round in 2022. He turned heads at the NFL Scouting Combine with a 4.57-second 40-yard dash. Of the three linebackers, Campbell provides the most upside.
In his last season at the University of Mississippi in 2021, Campbell racked up 109 total tackles and six sacks.
In the NFL, Campbell recorded three tackles on five defensive snaps in four games. He played another 62 special teams snaps.
