Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig has been waived with an injury designation, the team announced on Tuesday.

Lemonious-Craig joined the team after a successful tryout at rookie minicamp this spring and turned heads with his playmaking ability, and had continued that through the start of training camp.

He suffered what head coach Mike Tomlin described as a lower-body, soft-tissue injury on Sunday.

Lemonious-Craig will now go through waivers. Because he was released with an injury designation, if he clears waivers, he will revert to the Steelers’ injured reserve list, where he will spend the entire 2025 season unless he and the club reach an injury settlement.

He had a season-high 75 receiving yards and season-high carry for 20 yards against No. 14 Kansas State on Sept. 13. In two seasons with Arizona, he recorded 45 receptions (10.4 average) for 468 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

At Colorado, Lemonious-Craig played in 25 career games, starting 12. He recorded 33 receptions for 482 yards and five touchdowns during his time with the Buffaloes. Overall in his college career, the Inglewood, Calif. native appeared in 47 games, finishing with 79 receptions for 965 yards (12.2 average) and nine touchdowns.

In addition to waiving Lemonious-Craig, the Steelers also waived outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon with an injury designation, made official the release of running back and kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, and signed defensive tackle Domenique Davis, running back Lew Nichols III and tight end Kevin Foelsch.
