The Steelers placed tight end Darnell Washington on the injured reserve list, signed offensive lineman Jack Driscoll from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster, signed tight end Jaheim Bell to the practice squad, re-signed defensive tackle Kyler Baugh to the practice squad, released cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. from the practice squad and elevated cornerback D’Shawn Jamison from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
Rodgers threw for 284 yards and one touchdown and ran for another as the Steelers emerged with a 27-22 victory on Dec. 7 at M&T Bank Stadium to move ahead of the Ravens for the top spot in the AFC North.
Rodgers started the scoring with a real throwback — a 1-yard scramble for a touchdown followed by his famous discount double check celebration.
But it was even before that play that Rodgers showed that day was going to be different. He hit DK Metcalf on a 52-yard bomb on the team’s first offensive play — one of three deep passes from Rodgers to Metcalf in the game.
Entering the contest, the Steelers hadn’t completed a pass over 20 air yards since Week 8, but Rodgers — still shaking off the effects of a wrist injury and wearing a cast on his left wrist — turned that narrative around in a big way.
He finished 23 of 34 for 284 yards, and threw a touchdown pass to Jaylen Warren in addition to his rushing score.
This will be the 65th meeting between the team since the Baltimore franchise was founded when it moved from Cleveland in 1996. The Steelers lead the all-time series 36-28, and most of that advantage has happened recently. Pittsburgh has won seven of the last 10 games against the Ravens.
In Pittsburgh, the Steelers have won four of the last five at Acrisure Stadium, and are 21-12 overall at their home stadium against Baltimore.
