Since the turn of the century, the Steelers wore many different alternate jerseys until they debuted the Color Rush jersey as one of their current alternates back in the 2016 season. Compared to the Steelers normal jersey, the Color Rush jersey features golden block numbers and black pants.

The Steelers first introduced the Color Rush jersey during the 2016 season and have worn them at least once in each season since then. The Steelers debuted the Color Rush uniforms on Christmas Day in 2016, when they defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 31-27. This was the game where Antonio Brown made the “Immaculate Extension” to win the AFC North title.

The Steelers wore their all-black jersey in Week 14 of 2023 when they lost to the New England Patriots, 21-18, on Thursday Night Football. They also fell to the Cincinnati Bengals, 37-30, on Sunday Night Football in 2022. The other loss in the uniforms came against the Buffalo Bills in 2019 on SNF.
