Behind the Steel Curtain
UPDATE: Washington has been ruled out, as has linebacker Malik Harrison:
Darnell Washington has developed into a key piece of the Steelers’ offense in 2025, but he had to leave Pittsburgh’s Week 14 game against the Baltimore Ravens after being hit by two defenders on a second-quarter catch.
Washington gained 12 yards, but was hit high and low, landing hard on the ground. He walked off the field with help from trainers and hasn’t returned since.
Steelers public relations lead Burt Lauten later posted on X that Washington is being evaluated for a concussion.
Washington is questionable to return.
Despite losing the big tight end, the Steelers still have three on the roster in Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, and Connor Heyward.
