Sportsbooks don’t have much confidence in the 41-year-old quarterback

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced they inked future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a one-year contract on Thursday, finally ending the ongoing saga before mandatory minicamp, which begins on June 12th.

Many, including myself, feel the Steelers improved their offense significantly with Rodgers - who provides a significant upgrade over QB Mason Rudolph, who likely would have been the Week 1 starter.

However, major sportsbook DraftKings disagrees. They haven’t budged on the odds the Steelers win the Super Bowl, which currently sits at -4000.

The Steelers are behind the Minnesota Vikings (+3000) and the Denver Broncos (+2500), but are ahead of the Dallas Cowboys, who come in at +6000.

It was a difficult two-year tenure in New York with the Jets. In Week 1 of 2023, he tore his Achilles and missed the entire year. He returned in 2024, but didn’t seem to capture a ton of that Aaron Rodgers magic until the final month of the season. Rodgers posted just a 5-12 record with New York, and he posted his lowest yards per attempt (6.7) as a starter last season while taking 40 sacks, his most since 2018.

However, he threw 28 TDs to just 11 interceptions and posted a 90.5 passer rating.

I think we will see more of late-season Rodgers. For what it’s worth, I’d say +4000 are pretty good odds.
