PITTSBURGH — Already down to their fourth-string left tackle, the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered another potentially crippling injury along their offensive line, as starting center Zach Frazier missed Thursday’s practice with a triceps injury.

Frazier, who had been a full participant in Wednesday’s session, was held out on Thursday, bringing his availability for the team’s Week 16 trip to face the Detroit Lions in jeopardy.

The Steelers are already playing without starting left tackle Broderick Jones and backup swing tackle Calvin Anderson, who are both on the team’s injured reserve list, Jones with a neck injury and Anderson with a knee injury. Jones is out until at least Week 17, while Anderson must miss the remainder of the regular season.

Additionally, guard/tackle Andrus Peat remains in the NFL concussion protocol after leaving the team’s Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens and missing last week’s win over the Miami Dolphins. Dylan Cook, the team’s fourth-string option at left tackle, has been filling in and make his first career start against Miami.

On Monday night, the injury woes deepened, as left guard Isaac Seumalo left the game and was quickly ruled out after suffered a triceps injury. He has not yet returned to practice and seems unlikely to be able to play against the Lions. Spencer Anderson replaced Seumalo against Miami, with Ryan McCollum getting in to guard when Anderson played jumbo tight end in the team’s heavy offensive package.

McCollum is also the team’s backup center, and he would be in line to replace Frazier if he’s unable to dress, as he did for two games in 2024. Guard/tackle Jack Driscoll was the other offensive lineman to dress on Monday night. Steven Jones, David Sharpe and Doug Nester are other options to be recalled from the practice squad this week.
