Behind the Steel Curtain
The Pittsburgh Steelers received encouraging signs at Thursday’s practice as tight end Darnell Washington was spotted working on the side, a strong indication that he could be available for Monday night’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Washington left the Steelers’ Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens with a concussion.
Washington’s potential return would be a significant boost for Pittsburgh’s offense. The second-year tight end has emerged as one of the Steelers’ most important players, anchoring a revitalized ground attack with powerful blocking while also contributing timely plays in the passing game.
On the defensive side, Malik Harrison was also back at practice, meaning he may also be available after suffering a concussion of his own. We’ll get the official participation update on both when the injury report is released later on today.
With a win, the Steelers would improve to 8-6 while simultaneously shattering the playoff hopes of the 6-7 Dolphins.
