Pittsburgh Steelers safety and special teams ace Miles Killebrew has been named to the 2025 Pro Bowl games as an alternate.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety and special teams ace Miles Killebrew has been named to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, according to an announcement by the team on Wednesday.

Killebrew’s Pro Bowl nod comes as a result of New England Patriots special teamer Brenden Schooler being unable to participate due to injury.

It will be Killebrew’s second straight trip to the Pro Bowl as he now joins his four teammates, outside linebacker T.J. Watt, defensive tackle Cam Heyward, free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and kicker Chris Boswell, who have already been selected to this year’s Pro Bowl as starters.

Killebrew is more than deserving of his Pro Bowl honor. He had 13 special teams tackles (eight solo) this season, which was tied for the ninth most in the NFL. Killebrew also ranks 10th in the NFL in special teams solo tackles during his time with the Steelers.

The 31-year-old has blocked three punts since signing with the Steelers in 2021, which ranks first in the NFL and proves he is one of the best special teamers in the league.

Killebrew was named First-Team Associated Press All-Pro in 2023 and has appeared in 146 career games.

The Steelers have since awarded him as such. After joining the team on one-year deal in 2021, he signed a two-year, $4 million contract extension in 2022 and another two-year contract extension in March of 2024.

Fans won’t get to watch Killebrew in a traditional football game, however, as the Pro Bowl has since replaced it. Instead, an AFC vs. NFC flag football game will be played in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, February 2.

Leading up to the game, there will be skill competitions that the league’s top players will participate in.
