PITTSBURGH — Nick Herbig sat out during the Pittsburgh Steelers’ regular-season opener against the New York Jets. The third-year edge rusher nursed the hamstring injury he suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the team’s second preseason matchup.
During Thursday’s Steelers practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, Herbig worked into drills ahead of the team’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
