PITTSBURGH — The newest member of the Pittsburgh Steelers is one of the biggest, as 6-foot-5, 326-pound defensive tackle Brodric Martin took part in his first practice with the club on Thursday after coming over from the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

Head coach Mike Tomlin immediately took an interest in his newest defensive lineman, watching him closely in individual drills at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

With injuries to Dean Lowry, Isaiahh Loudermilk and Daniel Ekuale, there could be a role for Martin available almost immediately — assuming, that is, that Tomlin likes what he see from the big man at practice.
