PITTSBURGH — Rookie quarterback Will Howard had his 21-day practice window opened on Wednesday, and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ sixth-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft took part in his first regular-season practice with the team.
Howard suffered a broken pinky on his right, throwing hand back in training camp, and he was placed on the injured reserve list at the start of the regular season.
Howard will serve as the team’s third-string quarterback behind starter Aaron Rodgers and backup Mason Rudolph, as soon as he is cleared to return from the injured reserve list.
