PITTSBURGH — Over a dozen members of the Pittsburgh Steelers were released on Tuesday, but were right back to practice on Wednesday, as the team held its final practice of preseason at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
None of the players that the Steelers released were claimed on waivers by another squad, and 16 of them found their way back to the Steelers practice squad. Among the more notable returns were veteran wide receiver Robert Woods, former starting Nickel cornerback Beanie Bishop and former third-round draft picks DeMarvin Leal.
