If the Miami Dolphins are open to trading superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, there’s one team in the AFC that should be extra motivated to make a splash for him.

Tyreek Hill began trade speculation when he told reporters, “I’m out, bro,” after the Dolphins’ 2024 season ended with a loss to the New York Jets. The 31-year-old never wound up requesting a trade (at least, not publicly), but the Dolphins have to consider the move if the right offer comes along.

Hill’s trade value isn’t going to get any higher. Not at his age, and not after a disappointing season that saw him catch just 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns, a far cry from his 2023 stat line (119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns).

The Pittsburgh Steelers stand out as the ideal landing spot for Hill. They’ve already made two blockbuster WR trades, acquiring D.K. Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks before trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally signing his contract this week, the Steelers are back in win-now mode.

A healthy Metcalf is a top-10 wide receiver in football. Hill has been a top-three receiver this decade. Put those two on the same offense as Rodgers, and the Steelers suddenly look like the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest threat in the AFC.

What Steelers Should Offer Dolphins For Tyreek Hill

Given Hill’s age and hefty contract, Miami can’t expect to get a first-round pick for the future Hall of Famer. For Pittsburgh, a fair offer would be a 2026 second-round pick and a conditional fourth-round selection that can become a third (Pittsburgh an extra third-rounder from Dallas in the Pickens trade).

If Hill regains his All-Pro form, the Steelers will not regret giving up those two picks for him. They have to be in win-now mode with a 41-year-old quarterback, and Hill would push them that much closer to a Super Bowl.
