With just over two months until the 2025 NFL Draft and the NFL Scouting Combine just around the corner, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ selection with the 21st overall pick has been a hot topic lately.
From WRs like Emeka Egbuka, Luther Burden III, and Matthew Golden to elite Michigan defenders like DL Kenneth Grant and CB Will Johnson, every major sports outlet seems to have a different positional group in mind when mock drafting for the Steelers.
Fox Sports, however, predicted a different draft pathway for the Steel City, focusing on a franchise signal-caller instead.
In the latest Fox Sports mock draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart with the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Here’s how the major sports outlet defended the pick:
“Dart makes too much sense here for the Steelers not to take him. Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are unlikely to return, and the Ole Miss signal-caller has shown flashes of elite arm talent throughout his collegiate career.”
Fox may be reaching on Dart at pick 21, but no one will deny that the quarterback uncertainty surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers will do the team no favors in 2025.
