Warren, who signed a three-year contract extension before the season began, has been the workhorse this season. On Thursday, he showed up on the injury report with a knee injury.
After back-to-back limited participation days, he was listed as questionable ahead of their week four game. Despite this, Warren is expected to play in the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Dublin, Ireland.
In the event Warren is limited on Sunday, the Steelers also elevated Trey Sermon from the practice squad. Sermon could also be contributing to special teams in the kick return game on Sunday.
The Steelers arrived in Ireland on Friday and will have a bye week following their game. The bye week comes at a good time, as the team has been hit with a number of injuries early in the season.
Fans have made their presence felt already in Ireland as Warren and the Steelers prepare for their 9:30 AM EST battle. The last time the Steelers played an international game was in 2013, also against the Vikings.
