Steelers Rule Out Injured Wide Receiver

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out injured wide receiver Scotty Miller for the second straight week as he continues to recover from a broken finger.

Miller suffered the injury in practice before the team’s Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers. He missed that contest and will now miss a second, as he has been ruled out of the team’s Week 9 game against the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium this Sunday.

Miller did not participate in practice at all this week, and was spotted in the team’s locker room wearing a protective brace over the ring and pinky fingers of his left hand.

The Steelers will once again use rookie Ke’Shawn Williams as the team’s fifth wide receiver. Williams has also been serving on the team’s kick and punt return units since he first replaced Calvin Austin III. Austin returned from injury last week, but Miller’s injury allowed the rookie continue playing,
