PITTSBURGH — Rookie defesnive tackle Derrick Harmon returned to practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday, the first time the first-round pick was back in a Steelers uniform since his scary preseason injury.
Head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that Harmon is questionable to play this week against the New England Patriots, but the former Oregon Duck said he’s raring to go.
“”I’m ready to go,” he said. “If my number is called, I’m ready to go. … It’s been tough, Your first year you want to be out there. First game, first few games not being out there to help the team, it hurts.”
Harmon suffered an MCL sprain in the Steelers’ second preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.
