The Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL released their full 2025 schedule on Wednesday night. After the release, Art Rooney II released a statement about the schedule, including dates for their alternate uniforms–games against the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins.

Earlier this offseason, it was announced that the Steelers would have a new alternate uniform that included an alternate helmet. We now know the dates the alternates will be worn.

“We are going to have a new throwback uniform this year, and with a new helmet to go with it,” Rooney said in his statement released on the Steelers’ official website.

“We’re planning to wear our new throwbacks for the Packers game on Sunday night, Oct. 26. It’ll be fun to wear our throwbacks against one of the older franchises in the league – that just seems to be appropriate. We’ll be doing our Color Rush uniforms late in the year. I think we’re going to do it for the Monday night game on Dec. 15 against the Miami Dolphins.”

The Packers game and Dolphins games will be on Sunday Night and Monday Night Football, respectively. In 2019, the Steelers donned their color rush uniform against the Dolphins on a Monday Night matchup.

The Steelers may have Aaron Rodgers in an anticipated game against his former Green Bay team. The Dolphins will be a high powered offense that will bring a late season challenge as the Steelers hope to push for the postseason.

“I don’t have any major complaints with the schedule. The only little complaint I have is that a night game on the West Coast is always something I’d prefer to avoid. But it happens, and we’ll deal with it. All in all, I like the way the schedule lays out. And it’s fairly balanced.” Rooney concluded when discussing the schedule.

The Steelers have their divisional opponents more spread out than last season, but still face a tough late season stretch.
