The Pittsburgh Steelers have released veteran defensive back Tre Flowers. Pittsburgh signed Flowers on Christmas Day after he was released by the Detroit Lions at the end of November. He appeared in just one game for the Steelers, that coming in Week 17 where he played two special teams snaps in the 13-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Flowers was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a big part of the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense that made it to the Super Bowl in 2021, losing to the Los Angeles Rams. He has spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts, as well.
