The Steelers made the signing of outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon official on Thursday, releasing defensive tackle Brodric Martin-Rhodes in a corresponding roster move.

Pittsburgh signed Martin-Rhodes off of the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad on Nov. 5. He appeared in one game for the Steelers, playing 10 defensive snaps against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.

With rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon a full participant in Thursday’s practice and pass rushers T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig non-participants due to injury, Pittsburgh swapped out defensive line depth for another name at outside linebacker in Moon.

The Steelers take on the 8-6 Detroit Lions on the road Sunday afternoon.
