Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is having a standout performance against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. Early in the fourth quarter, he has recorded 121 yards on 14 carries for a whopping 8.7 yards per carry. He has a long of 37 yards.
It’s Warren’s first 100-yard game since Week 11 of 2023. It’s his third 100-yard rushing game of his career.
This is the first time in his four-year career that he’s the Steelers’ lead back.

In addition to getting it done on the ground, Warren has four receptions of 31 yards. He also threw an incredible block on Aaron Rodgers’ 2-yard touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington to cut the Bengals lead to 27-24 with 11:03 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Rodgers was upset with Warren on a failed flea flicker attempt in the first quarter.
On the play, it appears Rodgers called an audible to instead call a run play. Warren then took the hand off and tossed it back to the four-time MVP. He then threw the ball into the turf and let Warren know there was a miscommunication.
Outside of the one mishap, Warren has been a handful for the Bengals’ defense to contain.
Heading into Week 6, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith marveled at the way that tacklers bounce off Warren.
At the time, Warren was the best in the league when it comes to missed tackles forced vs yards after contact per touch among running backs, according to Fantasy Points Data.
“Jaylen’s a very unique guy. Just his yards after contact. That’s an interesting stat,” Smith said. “Guys bounce off him, he’s got a feel to cut back things, he’s unique in space.”
In the first three games, Warren was Pittsburgh’s top offensive weapon by far, leading the team in both rushing (132 yards) and receiving (142 yards). Warren was inactive due to a knee injury in the Week 4 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
