Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave left tackle Broderick Jones an ear full for tackling him during a touchdown celebration following Pat Freiermuith’s 68-yard catch-and-run score against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.

Rodgers’ strike to Freiermuth gave the Steelers a 31-30 lead with 2:21 remaining in the game. After the touchdown, Rodgers did his vintage arm pump celebration. Jones then came from behind and foolishly tackled Rodgers.

To say the least, the 41-year-old quarterback wasn’t happy and scolded Jones for it. He even shoved the third-year tackle. Rodgers appeared fine, but that could have been a drastic situation. Rodgers is already the oldest player in the NFL — I mean this game was tabbed as the Icy-Hot Bowl — he doesn’t need unnecessary hits from his own teammate.

Joe Flacco answered by setting up Evan McPherson for a 36-yard game-winning field goal.

Former Steelers offensive lineman Trai Essex blasted Jones for his lack of awareness.

“I’ve literally have never seen this shit before. Obviously it wasn’t intentional by 77 but it was just dumb and a lack of awareness,” Essex wrote on X.

Rodgers finished 23 of 34 for 249 and four touchdowns, but the two turnovers loomed large in the back-and-forth game. Pat Freiermuth continued his dominance of the Bengals, making five catches for 111 yards and the two scores.

Rodgers was locked in all night. He demanded perfection, and he made running back Jaylen Warren know about it for a mishap in the first quarter.

Rodgers was upset with Warren on a failed flea flicker attempt.

On the play, it appears Rodgers called an audible to instead call a run play. Warren then took the hand off and tossed it back to the four-time MVP. He then threw the ball into the turf and let Warren know there was a miscommunication.

Aaron Rodgers went OFF on Jaylen Warren, who ran a flea-flicker by accident:

“What are you doing!??… It wasn’t a flea flicker."
