The red-hot 7-1 Indianapolis Colts open as 3-point road favorites over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, according to odds posted at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Steelers have a +136 money line, while the Colts are -162. The over/under total for the game is 50.5.
This is the second straight week that the Steelers (4-3) are home underdogs. The Green Bay Packers took care of business against the Steelers on Sunday night with a 35-25 win.
The Steelers currently rank 30th in total defense. They’re on track to be the worst in franchise history. The record is the Steelers’ 5-11 1988 season when they ranked 28th in total defense.
Things won’t get easier for the defense, either. The Colts have the league’s best offense and an MVP candidate in running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has three scrimmage touchdowns in four of his eight games this season.
Taylor has 14 touchdowns already this season. He ripped off an 80-yard rushing touchdown in Sunday’s 38-14 win over the Tennessee Titans.
“It’s an all-day job because of that home run hitting ability,” Tomlin said of Taylor on Tuesday.

The Colts rank first in total offense and are No. 1 in scoring offense. Indianapolis is the only team in the league to score 30+ points five times since Week 3.
The Colts are on a historic pace right now. They have the second-most points per drive (3.46) through Week 8 since 1978. They are in the same category as the 2007 New England Patriots, 2000 St.Louis Rams and 2018 Kansas City Chiefs.
The Colts have seen a resurgence with quarterback Daniel Jones, who was considered a bust with the New York Giants.
“Kudos to Daniel Jones and his ability to redefine his narrative,” Tomlin said.
