The oddsmakers don’t believe the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to end their postseason win drought.

The Pittsburgh Steelers proved their doubters wrong in Week 18, upsetting the Baltimore Ravens 26-24 and earning a spot in the playoffs. However, the oddsmakers still don’t think the team has what it takes to end its postseason win drought.

The Steelers have opened up as 3.5-point underdogs for their wild card matchup against the Houston Texans, according to odds posted by DraftKings Sportsbook. Pittsburgh has a +144 money line, and the over/under total for the game is 39.5 points.

The Texans are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, winning their last nine straight games. Pittsburgh’s offense will also have its hands full as Houston boasts the best defense in the NFL in total yards allowed.

Luckily for the Steelers, they are getting a massive piece back on offense in wide receiver DK Metcalf, who finished serving his two-game suspension for his altercation with a Detroit Lions fan at Ford Field in Week 16.

Metcalf adds some much-needed firepower back to Pittsburgh’s offense after finishing the season with a team-leading 850 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns on 59 catches.

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers also looked like his vintage self in the win, completing 31 of his 47 passes for 294 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. That was all with an underwhelming unit, which had running back Kenneth Gainwell lead the team in catches (eight) and receiving yards (64) once again.

Only time will tell if the four-time NFL MVP will be able to continue turning back Father Time in what could be his last season in the NFL. However, Pittsburgh is surely hoping that’s the case as it looks to finally end its eight-year postseason win drought against the Texans on Monday Night Football.
