The oddsmakers believes the Pittsburgh Steelers will bounce back against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered an embarrassing blowout loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football, but the oddsmakers think they have a good chance to get back in the win column next week.
The Steelers have opened up as 5.5-point favorites for their Week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to odds posted by DraftKings Sportsbook. Pittsburgh has a-245 money line, and the over/under total for the game is 50.5 points.
It’s a bit surprising given how the Steelers looked against the Chargers. The offense couldn’t get anything going as quarterback Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst performances of his career, completing just 16 of his 31 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Rodgers even admitted he needs to play better if Pittsburgh hopes to turn things around after losing three of its last four games.
“I expect to play great every single week, and this was not my best performance,” Rodgers said after the game. “I got to play better. Whatever it takes. If it’s better checks, if it’s better throws. Whatever it is, I got to play better. We got to bounce back. We got a division opponent next week. We’re 5-4, we’re a ahead by a game in the division. We got to play better on offense, for sure.”
To make matters worse, the Steelers’ first meeting with the Bengals this season didn’t go as planned, either, as they fell short in a 33-31 shootout.
Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco carved up Pittsburgh’s defense for 342 yards and three touchdowns in Week 7, and now, he’ll look to do the same a month later.
The Steelers defense has been playing better as of late, but their offense seems to have taken a step back. Only time will tell if Rodgers and Pittsburgh’s offense can right the ship against the 3-6 Bengals like the oddsmakers believe they will.
