The oddsmakers believe the Pittsburgh Steelers have a good chance to add to their win column in Week 7.
The Pittsburgh Steelers extended their lead in the AFC North in Week 6 with a 23-9 win over the Cleveland Browns, and the oddmakers believe they will continue adding to that lead this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Steelers are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Bengals, according to odds posted on Sunday by DraftKings Sportsbook. They have a -265 money line, and the over/under total for the game is 42.5 points.
If it holds, it will be the largest point spread for Pittsburgh this season. However, the team doesn’t have very long to prepare as it is scheduled to head to Cincinnati on Thursday night.
Luckily for the Steelers, they are very familiar with the Bengals, who will also be without star quarterback Joe Burrow. Instead, Cincinnati will lean on veteran Joe Flacco for the second straight week after acquiring him via a trade with Cleveland.
In Flacco’s first action with the Bengals, he threw for 219 yards, two touchdown and zero interceptions against the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn’t enough as they still suffered their fourth straight loss of the season.
Flacco certainly looked better than he had through the first four weeks of the season when he threw for just 815 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions, but it remains to be seen how much good football the 40-year-old has left in him.
Pittsburgh is hoping not a lot as it will look to extend its comfortable lead in the AFC North. The Steelers currently sit atop the division at 4-1 with the Bengals (2-4), Baltimore Ravens (1-5) and Browns (1-5) following behind.
