Free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis is signing with the Buffalo Bills, according to a report on Tuesday by Adam Schefter of ESPN, after taking two free agent visits with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Davis visited the Steelers earlier in the offseason and then came back to Pittsburgh for a second visit on Aug. 18. He left UPMC Rooney Sports Complex without a contract both times, with the Steelers hesitant to commit after a significant knee injury in 2024.

The day after his last visit to the Steelers, Davis took a visit to Buffalo, seeking a reunion with the Bills, where he spent his first four NFL seasons. A contract did not materialize at that time, but now Buffalo has re-signed Davis on the eve of the regular season.
Davis totaled 20 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns through 10 games in Jacksonville last season. The Jaguars released Davis one season into a three-year, $39 million contract with a failed physical designation this spring.
Over four seasons before that with the Bills, he pulled in 163 passes for 2,700 yards and 27 touchdowns, and was a key downfield threat for Josh Allen.
The Steelers have been seeking a second outside wide receiver since trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in May, but appear to be set to enter the season with Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson, who have primarily been slot receivers, in that role opposite DK Metcalf.
The team has just five receivers on its 53-man roster, with Scotty Miller and Ben Skowronek joining the trio above.
The Steelers will face the Bills in Week 13 at Acrisure Stadium on Nov. 30.
