Steelers mailbag: Will the Steelers finally end the drought?
Behind the Steel Curtain Behind the Steel Curtain

Hopefully this isn’t the last mailbag of the season. We’ll find out soon enough when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Houston Texans on Monday night to close out the wild card round.

Q: What I would really like to know is: Did all the BTSC staff really pick the Steelers to beat the Rats last weekend? Or were you all just trying to please us fans? – Polamolicules_Dude

A: Was a clean sweep across the board. The Steelers usually beat Baltimore, so I wasn’t shocked. I’d assume the rest of the staff had similar thoughts.

Q: How big a confidence level difference do you have based on this game being in Pittsburgh vs being in Houston? DK stat line, heavy target share, or decoy?Blkgldtom

A: On a scale of 1-10, my confidence is about a 7.5. I think they win. I’d put DK at 5 catches for around 65 yards. Solid game, but nothing other-worldly.

Q: From the Texans’ current roster, what non-QB would you most like to see on the Steelers’ 2026 roster? – Blkgldtom

A: Will Anderson. Easily. One of the 10 best edge rushers in the game. Derek Stingley or Nico Collins would be my second pick.

Q: I’ll set the over/under at 34 passes thrown. What are ya taking? I predict they come out throwing. Stretch that defense. 35 passes for Rodgers and a WIN …17-16. – steelwoman

A: I’ll take the under. The talent in Houston’s secondary far outweighs what the Steelers have at receiver. Run the ball, control the clock.

Q: Does Aaron throw 4TDs vs the Texans? You know, like some other legend? – Polamolicules_Dude

A: An Al Bundy performance for the ages would be a great way to end the playoff win drought.
