PITTSBURGH — During the fourth quarter of his team’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers guard Isaac Seumalo exited the game and was ruled out for the remainder due to a pec injury.

Seumalo suffered a similar injury in the Steelers’ loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. Backup Spencer Anderson, a versatile blocker used mainly in jumbo packages, replaced the ailing veteran.

“Me going in was kinda (how it was) during the preseason,” Anderson said Monday about his possible expanded role. “Obviously, I feel most comfortable at guard, so it’s no different, honestly. It’s just another day at the office. I know, obviously, we couldn’t run our heavy stuff because Isaac had got hurt. … Things happen in the midst of a game and we can’t use that as an excuse or anything. We’ve still gotta execute.”

Anderson also notched his first career reception last week against the Packers, rumbling for four yards on the grab.

Midway through the fourth frame, the Steelers had gone for 42 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, quarterback Aaron Rodgers had taken care of the ball and the Steelers’ defense had forced Colts passer Daniel Jones into a handful of miscues.
