DETROIT — The Pittsburgh Steelers’ receiver woes continued on Sunday as Calvin Austin III exited his team’s road matchup with the Detroit Lions. Austin is questionable to return to the matchup with a hamstring injury.

When the Lions punted not a minute into the fourth quarter, Scotty Miller jogged back deep for the Steelers, taking over for Austin’s usual duties.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling momentarily exited the matchup after dropping a deep ball during the third quarter. He returned to make a grab on the Steelers’ following possession.

Meanwhile, DK Metcalf could be waiting on discipline from the NFL office after appearing to swipe at a fan in the crowd during the first half. After a long Jaylen Warren rushing touchdown, Aaron Rodgers had gone 25 for 38 through the air for 233 yards and a touchdown.

Roman Wilson, the Steelers’ third-round draft pick in 2024, hasn’t played since last month as Valdes-Scantling and fellow veteran Adam Thielen have broken into the lineup to catch passes from Rodgers.

If Austin’s injury hampers him over the next week and Metcalf is reprimanded for his action, the Steelers will have to shuffle their pass-catching collective against the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
