Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw did not hold back on the never-ending Aaron Rodgers saga back in May. Rodgers was nowhere in sight at OTAs, and that didn’t set with the four-time Super Bowl champion.
“That’s a joke,” Bradshaw said on 103.7 The Buzz’s Morning Mayhem Show when asked about Rodgers not giving the Steelers an answer yet. “That is to me just a joke. What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me?”
Bradshaw continued to rip Rodgers, even with some personal shots.
“That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark. Whisper to the gods out there,” Bradshaw said.
Rodgers eventually signed with the Steelers in June, and Pittsburgh’s decision to wait on the four-time NFL MVP quarterback looks like it was the right decision after a stunning four-touchdown performance in the season-opening 34-32 win over the New York Jets.
Four months after his brash comments, Bradshaw has also changed his stance on the Steelers’ signing of Rodgers.
“I thought he played great,” Bradshaw said Tuesday on 103.7 The Buzz. “I thought he moved well. Four touchdown passes, I just hope he keeps playing like that. As good as Aaron was, was as bad the defense was, I was shocked by that. Jalen Ramsey comes over at corner, I thought they would play much better.
“Looks like it was a good move for Pittsburgh. We’ll see as the season progresses. I don’t think Aaron played poorly at all. I never have thought that. You give him time and some weapons and they could be something special.”

At St. Vincent College in late July, Rodgers responded to Bradshaw’s criticism during an interview with Kyle Brandt of NFL Network.
{He} is only basing those judgements off perception and ‘doesn’t know me,’” Rodgers said.
“I’ve known Terry for a long time, being a part of Fox. Terry’s a legend. He’s an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He’s had a legendary career in the media. But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn’t know me. So he’s got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I’ve done, the documentary, what I’ve said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about.
“I feel like if he gave me a chance to get to know him then we’d have a good friendship,” Rodgers added, “because for me I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for what the greats have done because they laid the foundation for us to be able to play in this great game, to be paid like kings. … So I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level if he’s open...
