The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to receive several extra selections in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Pittsburgh Steelers conducted their entire offseason with the attempt to acquire as many compensatory picks in the 2026 NFL Draft as possible. They have now learned what they should expect to receive come April.
According to Nick Korte of Over The Cap, the Steelers are projected to receive compensatory picks in the third round for offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr., fourth round for quarterback Justin Fields and two in the sixth round for quarterback Russell Wilson and cornerback Donte Jackson.
I've finalized OTC's 2026 compensatory pick projection.
Here are 20 scenarios that could happen depending on what the leaguewide number of players considered could be.

Pittsburgh seems to be receiving a very nice return for their veterans that parted in free agency, but it could have been a lot more, too.
Both Fields and Wilson had quite disappointing seasons in New York as each player was benched or demoted multiple times. Meanwhile, former Steelers running back Najee Harris played in just three games with the Los Angeles Chargers after suffering a freak July 4 accident leading up to the season.
Nonetheless, Pittsburgh is certainly set up to make a jump up the draft board to go get its future franchise quarterback or simply stick and pick to help its aging roster.
That, of course, is not something that needs to be decided today with a long offseason ahead and a head coach vacancy still to fill. However, the Steelers’ plan seems to have worked out pretty well, given some of the obstacles their former players have faced this season.
Pittsburgh is now projected to have 12 total picks in this year’s draft, with its first coming at No. 21 overall in the first round.
