The Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 4-1 with a dominant 23-9 win over the Cleveland Browns yesterday but suffered a few injuries in the contest.

During his weekly Tuesday afternoon press conference, Tomlin provided multiple updates on the injury front via the team’s YouTube channel.

Special teams ace Miles Killebrew sustained a gruesome knee injury in the first half that kept him out for the remainder of the game. He was quickly ruled out by the team’s medical staff.

Tomlin on Killebrew today:

“Obviously, his injury is significant, and he can be described as out.”

Defensive back Joey Porter Jr. returned to game action for the first time since week two, and there were a few moments where he appeared to be in some pain.

Tomlin characterized Porter’s injury as “bumps and bruises” – and sounds confident he will play. He also mentioned that Jalen Ramsey, who had two sacks, left the game healthy.

Number two wideout Calvin Austin III missed the contest with a shoulder injury that he suffered in Ireland against the Minnesota Vikings but might be close to a return. “We’ll see what this week looks like,” said the Steelers head coach.

The Steelers will take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Thursday night on a short week, aiming to improve to 5-1 and continue to take a stranglehold on the AFC North.

They are currently a 5.5 point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
