While they couldn’t snap their Thursday night or Windy City woes, they were able to take advantage of their strengths at home against the Colts and Browns. The Buffalo Bills come into Pittsburgh with a 3-10 record all-time in the Steel City.
The last time the Bills came to Pittsburgh, they stole a 17-10 victory after Devlin “Duck” Hodges threw four interceptions on Sunday Night Football. The game sparked a three-game losing streak that knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs.
In that matchup, Bills Mafia made a significant presence in Acrisure Stadium. It might not be as strong this game due to the holiday week—but don’t rule it out.
What might discourage Steelers fans more is the fact that they are 1-4 in their five most recent matchups against the Bills. Quarterback Josh Allen has enjoyed plenty of success against Pittsburgh.
However, the Bills were Mike Tomlin’s first home victory in 2007. Since then, his Steelers are 2-1 at home in this matchup, with both victories by more than one-possession margins.
The Steelers have already taken advantage of historically favorable matchups this season. They beat the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts at home, where they historically dominate those franchises. They also came away victorious against the Minnesota Vikings in Ireland.
