Pittsburgh will only have to travel to the Pacific Time Zone once to face the Los Angeles Chargers. The team will also play at AFC North rivals Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland, as well as the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots and New York Jets.
The rest of the AFC North also has relatively light travel schedules, as the Bengals will have the fewest miles traveled with 8,753, the Ravens the third-fewest miles at 10,647 and the Browns the eighth-fewest at 15,028.
It is a bit of a dip for the Steelers after they had the NFL’s fourth easiest travel schedule last season, but their international game against the Minnesota Vikings is adding roughly 3,500 travel miles.
Pittsburgh played nine road games in 2024, and it would have played nine at home this season if it weren’t for serving as the home team in Ireland.
Each year, the Steelers alternate between nine home and road games. The NFL’s travel schedules are set by a predetermined formula.
The full 2025 NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday. The team’s 2025 opponents can be found here.
